Tips To Prevent UV Damage
August 31st, 2010People are never really content with what they have. Would you agree?
One simple example I have from my own experience that could be related to this is my desire to study. When classes are on, I feel so tired and feel as if I am always on the edge of giving up. I often lose the desire to read my notes and memorize certain lessons. However, when classes are off, I almost always feel the desire to open my notes and I cannot wait to start going back to school again.
Another example relates to money. When people are short of money, they say that having some money to buy food for three meals a day will be all that they will need. However, when they’ve got the amount of money that they thought would be enough for them, then they want more for something else! In fact, more than likely, they will never be satisfied with their lot! Do you also know people who are like this? This kind of thinking can be found in those who came from being poor and have worked really hard to become millionaires. They really do not seem satisfied at all with their wealth.
On another note, beauty is also something that people are not always satisfied with, especially women! Are you one? Well, I must admit I am not that satisfied but I cannot imagine myself undergoing reconstructive surgery. This dissatisfaction is probably one of the reasons why cosmetic surgery is booming. Don’t you think? People just cannot accept that they are beautiful as they are. At one point, they would like to look like this, and on another occasion, they would like to look differently. Say for example during the summer, many people are spending time under the sun just to get tanned. For people like me who really love going to the beach, getting a tan is so easy. Some do it artificially. Unfortunately, there are consequences that come along with getting tanned. So my advice is, as far as possible, just be content with what God has given you.
